Working on “The Promise” presented a unique opportunity to explore a different design approach, navigating the delicate balance between cartoonish elements and stylized semi-realistic character design.

This creative challenge allowed me to push the boundaries of my artistic abilities and delve into new aesthetic territory.

In addition to character design, I collaborated closely with the director on beat boards, visually mapping out key moments and narrative beats in the story. This collaborative process not only honed my storytelling skills but also deepened my understanding of the director’s vision.

Navigating between cartoonish and semi-realistic design elements required careful consideration of form, proportion, and visual language. Through iterative exploration and experimentation, I was able to strike a harmonious balance that captured the essence of the story while also resonating with audiences on an emotional level.

Ultimately, my involvement in “The Promise” was a testament to the power of collaboration and creative exploration. It challenged me to stretch my artistic boundaries and embrace new design approaches, ultimately enriching my skills as a designer and storyteller.
