“Hello Charlie!” is a animated television show concept co-created by me and Marie-Sissi Labrèche.
From concept to visual development, I poured my creativity into bringing Charlie the little whale, and her world to life.
Acquired by Écho Media, the series entered production in the summer of 2017, with 65 episodes of 7 minutes each chronicling Charlie’s adventures.
In addition to crafting the overarching concept, I designed approximately 30 characters, from initial concepts to their various poses and rotations. I also developed approximately 25 unique locations that served as the backdrop for Charlie’s daily escapades.
With half of the 65 scripts fully storyboarded and the other half in various stages of development, “Hello Charlie!” was poised to enchant audiences with its endearing characters and captivating storytelling. However, like many creative endeavors, funding constraints forced the series to halt production.
Despite this setback, “Hello Charlie!” remains in search of new financing, and I’m hopeful that we’ll have the opportunity to revisit and revive this charming series in the near future. The journey of Charlie and her friends is one that I’m eager to continue, and I’m dedicated to seeing it through to its rightful conclusion.
